Welcome Wednesday Blog Hop!
Welcome to my back up project for the Welcome Wednesday blog hop at Take It From Me. The project that I wanted to post was a new technique for me, making some jewelery out of my scrap stash. It turned out really cute, but has a few kinks that I want to work out before I share that one with you. So this is what I decided to post for you today.
This layout is also something new for me. I usually scrap about my kids and not me or the things that I love. I am trying to change that. When my kids signed up for the summer reading program at the library, I decided to sign up to. I started reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. From the first one, I was hooked. In just a few weeks, I had read all sixteen books in the series. (She has since came out with one more that I can't wait to get!)
This layout has some pages from an old book that I found at the Goodwill. I love to read and even though that book wasn't something I was interested in, I had a hard time ripping out the pages! I folded the strips and added to the bottom. The other printed word paper is from Jenny Bowlin. I also used some printed paper from the DCWV stack, Hittin the Books that was on clearance at my Michaels. On the bookmark is a Tim Holtz stamp. I also used his Tiny Attacher for some accents. The flowers are Prima and Paper Studio. For the center of the larger one, I used a technique that I saw on Scrap Our Stash. They have a Frugal Friday tip that said to add some Glossy Accents to the center of a flower and then add microbeads. I had gotten some from a swap that I had never used, but they matched perfectly! The title is cut from my Cricut with Street Sign.
I loved doing this layout and I really like how this one turned out. I have some more pictures of "things" that I am ready to scrap! Hope you like it! Happy crafting!

I have been busy!!
Don't you just love that great feeling of accomplishment you get a ton of things marked off your to-do list? Yes! But unfortunately for me, it doesn't happen quite enough! Today I was able to finish the curtains for my new scrap room, made a cover for my Cricut (out of the same fabric), and filmed the video about my home made clip it up! It is still being edited, which may take a while since I have never used the editing program before, so be watching for that!! I also bought and put together some new storage for my new craft room which is coming together great! It was so nice to be able to sew and have all the space and stuff that I needed! Once these last few items get put away, I will post either a video or some pics! I guess it depends on how fast I learn that new program. I am also working on a layout that is a little different for me. So that is what will be coming up in the next week. I hope you got a few things accomplished today too! Happy crafting!

Making progress on my new craft room!
Wow! I never realized just how much craft stuff I had until I started moving it all! My oldest DS was a big help by carrying down alot of my junk, er, I mean supplies! I have already given away a huge box of stuff, but I think that I will have to part with some more things so I can keep this room neat. So here is a couple of pictures of my progress so far. I have some more dining room stuff to put away and just a few more crafty things that will need to find a home downstairs. I am going to keep my dining room table in here though. It will be a good place for me to do my sewing. It was already great to use for making my new tab top valances! I will have to get something to protect it, but I have some ideas for that!
Just getting started
Most things put away. The walls will have to be embellished a little!
My JetMax cubes in a shelf that my hubby made!
And my very quick and easy tab top valances that I made in just about an hour.
I will post some more as I get it done, but so far, I have enjoyed having some extra space! Now to get my computer, tv, and those last little things together!! Happy crafting!

A new scrap space coming soon!!
A few months ago, I was planning on moving my messy, cluttered, little corner of a scrap space downstairs and take over my dining room! I kept putting ito off just becasue it was going to be a big task! But we started packing up the dining room and moving a few small things on Monday! I am hoping that we can get my custom made desk (that my awesome hubby made for me!) downstairs and put back together. Then moving ALL my stuff is just a very daunting task. Not to mention that I smashed my toe last night moving the dining room table!! Ouch! I can't wait t get it all spread out and organized. I also want to get some cute fabric to make some curtains to match my hot pink and Cricut green stuff! I will have to get a smaller light fixture too, maybe a girlie one all blinged out! Now, if I could only get my hubby to let me paint it pink! I'll post some pictures when I get it all straightened out! Happy crafting!

Trick or Treat!!
I love Halloween! I love the colors of fall, cooler weather, decorating, and going out on Halloween with my boys! They always have so much fun and last year was no exception!
I bought this MME paper kit such a long time ago and forgot about it. Just a couple of weeks ago, I went to Michaels to use my 20% off of everything coupon and picked up some more Halloween paper. It reminded me of the MME paper and I thought the colors would work out well together. So of course I grabbed a few sheets. It turned out to be the same MME paper that I already had! But you know that it is great paper if you can buy it three years apart and still like it! I think that it's the not so traditional Halloween colors of bright orange, purple, and green. I used my new Happy Hauntings cartridge for the fence and the title. I dressed up the bird on the fence with some Glossy Accents to make him stand out just a little bit. The American Crafts ribbon I have also had for some time and they worked well with the colors. The printed black and white brads are from a Paper Studio pack. I really like how this one turned out, and I had alot of fun playing with my new cartridge. I am sure that you will see some more Halloween projects using it soon! Happy crafting!

Happy Hauntings!
I am so excited that my Happy Hauntings cartridge came in the mail today!! I have been trying to get my cheap little hands on one of these cartridges for a few weeks now. My craft stores are slow to get any new cartridges, and online prices are more than I usually pay. My average price that I pay for one is around $23! So you can imagine how hard it was for me to fork out $34 to get this one! Still not a bad price, especially considering I got free shipping and no tax! So thank you memorymiser for my great new cartridge that I can't wait to play with!! Check back to see a new layout with some cuts from Happy Hauntings and Halloween paper from My Minds Eye! Happy crafting!!

Outstanding Student Award
My oldest son received the award for most outstanding boy student in his class last year. We were so proud of him and how well he did all year to earn that award. What did he have to say about that? "Mom, I had to miss recess to go to awards practice!" Hah! Little guys and their thoughts. I definately wanted to record this event and what he thought about it all. This layout was a one-hour layout and easy to get done. All the printed paper are scraps. The circle is part of a rub on and the title is from my Cricut using Plantin Schoolbook and Street Sign. The apple is also from PS and I just embellished it a little with my white Uniball pen, my favorite!! This type of layout is showing up alot in my scrapbooks, fast and easy to do! I used to spend days trying to get one layout to look perfect. I am glad that I no longer feel that way and I am just as happy with the results! Try it yourself. You may be able to get alot more layouts done! Happy crafting!!
